  • Morrells SCANDI Wood Stains

    Morrells SCANDI Wood Stains

    111 in stock

The Morrells range of SCANDI stains has been inspired by Nordic design and consists of classic wood shades and contemporary pigmented colours. All are lightfast and suitable for wooden substrates. Formulated to provide excellent grain definition and depth of colour while maintaining lightfastness. SCANDI pigmented stains have been designed with a longer drying time to better suit rag-on-rag-off applications, allowing greater control of colour and grain definition. Suitable for tinting pre-catalyst lacquers up to a maximum of 5% by volume. For flooring applications, a minimum of 2 hours to dry must be given before sealing and topcoating. Drying and recoat time will vary with temperature, humidity and absorption of the timber. SCANDI stains must be topcoated. If topcoating with manually-applied flooring lacquer, use waterbased products only. Preparation Ensure surface is clean, dry and free from old finishes, dust, dirt, oil and other contaminants. Pre-sand with 180 grit sand paper prior to stain application to avoid patchy or uneven drying. Test patch It is advisable to test the colour in an inconspicuous area or on a spare piece of substrate.  Note The SCANDI range contains pigments that will settle with time. Ensure the stain is thoroughly mixed before use and at regular intervals to ensure consistent colour. Hand staining Use a soft, white, lint-free cloth. Avoid using coloured or printed rags as dyes can bleed into the stain and cause discolouration. Apply the stain wet to the whole surface to avoid uneven penetration and then remove excess with a clean cloth. For larger surfaces it may be appropriate to apply the stain in sections. When removing excess stain, work with the direction of grain. Spray application Spray apply an even wet coat Remove excess with a soft, white, lint-free cloth, working with the direction of the grain. Wiping off process can enhance the evenness of the colour and highlight the grain definition and the natural figuring of the substrate.  Dip application Plunge or controlled dip can be undertaken Wipe off excess stain with a clean, white, lint-free cloth, working with the direction of the grain. Pack size: 1L, 5L, 25L Touch dry: 60 minutes @ 18°C Recoatable: 60 minutes @ 18°C Coats: 1-2 Coverage: 8m² per litre dependent upon the size, orientation and surface quality of the item being coated Packing: Overnight minimum dependent on the conditions

  • Osmo Decking Oil - Wiltshire Wood Flooring Supplies

    Osmo Decking Oil

    68 in stock

Osmo Decking-Oils protect and maintain timber decking, garden furniture and privacy screens made of numerous coniferous and fine woods, such as pressure impregnated Pine, Douglas Fir, Cedar, Oak or Bangkirai also suitable as a transparent colour treatment of Teak, Eucalyptus and other fine woods as well as thermally treated wood. Key Features  Approx. coverage: 24m²/L with one coat No. of coats: 2 Ideal application temperature: +10°C to 35°C Drying time: 12 hrs Sizes: 0.125L, 0.750L, 2.5L Application  For a clear and natural finish for decking, apply just two coats of 007 Teak Oil, which allows the wood to naturally grey over time. The darker the colour, the slower the greying process of the wood will start to appear. Osmo Anti-Slip Decking Oil 430 can be used as the second coat after any of the coloured Decking Oils to provide a slip resistant surface. Recommended application is 35ml/m² SURFACE PREPARATION Bare wood species with a high content of natural wood extractives need to weather off (min. 4 weeks) before the initial treatment or be cleaned with Osmo Brush Cleaner and Thinner (degreaser).Resinous wood, such as Larch or Douglas Fir, needs to weather off for at least 6 weeks to improve absorbency. Pressure impregnated wood and tropical species like Massaranduba, Bangkirai, Garapa, Iroko need to weather off for at least 3 months. Cedar requires a 3 month weathering period to improve absorbency. Greyed and weathered wood can be refreshed with Osmo Wood Reviver Power-Gel before applying Osmo Decking Oils. Avoid using jet / power washers to clean the surface as they can significantly affect the coverage of Osmo Decking Oils. Wood surface must be clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content max. 20%).Osmo Decking-Oil is ready to use. Do not thin. Stir well using a flat stirring stick or spatula before use. Thoroughly clean or lightly sand old microporous stains or completely remove old varnishes before application. If any sanding works are carried out some fresh wood species must be weathered as directed above to improve absorbency once more. Sanding to finishing grades of no more than a P120 grit are recommended. Always wear a dust mask when sanding. If possible, and if the wood is absorbent please apply the first coat to all sides before installation. The finished surface is influenced by several factors, including the condition of the wood. Therefore, a trial application is always required, especially for unfamiliar surfaces. If additional protection against blue stain, rot and insect attack is desired ( eg soft woods) , pre-treat the wood, if possible on all sides, with Osmo WR Impregnation. METHOD OF APPLICATION Use stiff brush (Osmo Flat Brush) or a lint free cloth (e.g. for furniture) and apply thinly and evenly to the clean and dry wood surface along wood grain. For a quick and easy application, we recommend using Osmo Decking Brush (150 mm) which was tailor-made for decking and allows you to apply the finish while standing.Allow for good ventilation while drying. Lower temperatures and higher humidity levels will delay drying.Once dry apply the second coat – also thinly. If a less intensive colour is desired, the second coat should be carried out with clear Anti-Slip Decking Oil 430. Generally the more rich and dark the colour chosen, the higher the level of UV protection offered. Avoid applying clear Anti-Slip Decking Oil 430 as a stand alone finish as this offers limited UV protection. NOTE Osmo Teak-Oil 007  is a clear decking oil finish and therefore offers only little protection against UV radiation (greying). As a clear top coat for fence panels / screens, we recommend Osmo UV-Protection-Oil/UV-Protection-Oil Extra. For decking the clear Anti-Slip Decking Oil 430 should be applied over 1 x coat of a coloured Osmo Decking Oil. Clear Anti-Slip Decking oil 430 offers higher pigment protection which increases the durability of the finish against wear and weather. For especially mechanically loaded areas (e.g. decking), we recommend checking the finish at least once a year and to eventually recoat the surface with the appropriate finish.Due to their surface properties, ribbed or grooved as well as rough (sawn) wood surfaces absorb more product per square metre than smooth surfaces. Many wood species contain water-soluble coloured extractives ( eg Larch ) which may leach out naturally when weathered. Weathered, bare wood surfaces can be refreshed with Osmo Wood Reviver Power-gel. Using jet/power washers or multi-purpose cleaners will increase the frequency of maintenance and recoating. CARE Regular Cleaning: Damp cleaning with diluted Osmo Decking Cleaner using Osmo Decking Cleaning Brush. Occasional Maintenance: If necessary, intensive cleaning and refreshing using Osmo Wood Reviver Power Gel or Osmo Gard Clean ( for green growth). Recoating: Simply re-apply one coat onto the clean and dry surface when signs of wear become visible.

  • Osmo Door Oil 1L - Wiltshire Wood Flooring Supplies

    Osmo Door Oil 1L

    13 in stock

Osmo Door Oil is ideal for veneered doors. The unique formulation penetrates the wood surface which remains microporous and whilst the finish will not crack, peel, flake or blister. The surface also becomes healthy and elastic, and the wood's fibres are prevented from becoming dry and brittle over time as well as shrinking and swelling. Application SURFACE PREPARATION Wood surface must be clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content max. 18%). Osmo Door-Oil is ready to use. Do not thin. Shake well before use. For solid doors, clean old microporous stains thoroughly. Old paints, varnishes and lacquers must be completely removed. If renovating veneered doors, always check with the door manufacture that renovation is possible. Always wear a dust mask while sanding. Fill small cracks, larger joints or holes in wood (with Osmo Wood Filler). Sand wood surfaces carefully. Begin with coarse sandpaper – final sanding P120-150 for solid wood doors. Before oiling the surface, remove sanding dust with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner. If possible, please apply the first coat to all sides before installation. METHOD OF APPLICATION With Osmo Flat Brush or Osmo Microfibre Roller, apply thinly and evenly to the clean and dry wood along the wood grain and spread well. If applying the Door-Oil 3033 Raw, remove excess white pigment before allowing the surface to dry. Allow for good ventilation while drying. After drying, apply a second coat – also thinly. NOTE Applying the product too generously and insufficient ventilation lead to delays in drying time. Oils enhance the natural tone of wood (clear Door-Oil 3060 with permanent wetlook-effect). Osmo Door-Oil 3033 Raw counteracts exactly this effect and protects lighter coloured wood almost invisibly. The original look of the wood can be kept – no emphasising of the natural colour of the wood (no wetlook-effect). On dark/reddish wood species, Osmo Door-Oil 3033 Raw can be seen as a faintly white surface. Over application of Osmo Door-Oil 3033 Raw can also result in a faintly white surface. A trial application is recommended. Using general or multi-purpose cleaners will increase the frequency of maintenance and recoating. Allow finish to fully cure before heavy usage. CARE Regular Cleaning: Dust mopping. Damp mopping using Osmo Spray-Cleaner. Occasional Maintenance: For the Intensive cleaning of stubborn scuff marks, and refreshing the sheen on Osmo Door Oil 3060 clear satin, use clear Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner. Avoid using Liquid Wax Cleaner over Osmo Door-Oil 3033 Raw matt as it will appear more shiny. Recoating: Simply re-apply one coat onto the clean and dry surface when slight signs of wear become visible.

After drying, we recommend coating the other wood surfaces with Osmo wood finishes (e.g. Bangkirai-Oil, Massaranduba-Oil, Country Colour or Natural Oil Woodstain). Using power washers will severely decrease the coverage of the finish and general or multi-purpose cleaners will increase the frequency of maintenance and recoating. OVERVIEW Osmo End Grain Sealing Wax protects the end grain from cracks during all elements of weathering. Minimises the water absorption, as well as the seasoning of the end grains. The surface is water and dirt resistant. Swelling and shrinking as well as ‘bleeding’ of the contents of the wood will be reduced. It is clear and is therefore universally applicable.

Clear oil-based wood stain for all wood in outdoor areas. Microporous stain allows the wood to breathe and reduces swelling and shrinkage. Water-repellent, extremely weatherproof and UV-stable. Will not crack, peel, flake or blister. Simply recoat without sanding or primer. Easy and seamless application. Wood stain stays workable while coating. Easy and seamless application Improves and maintains the appearance of wood Suitable for both hardwoods and softwoods Exceptionally high coverage Woodstain stays workable while coating Safe for humans, animals and plants once dry (biocide free) Highly water and dirt resistant Microporous, penetrating finish which does not crack, peel or flake No sanding necessary when topping up coating SURFACE PREPARATION Wood species with a high content of natural wood extractives need to weather off (min. 4 weeks) before the initial treatment or be cleaned with Osmo Brush Cleaner and Thinner (degreaser). Resinous wood, such as Larch or Douglas Fir, needs to weather off for at least 6 weeks. Pressure-impregnated wood, Massaranduba,Bangkirai or Garapa need to weather off for at least 3 months. De-grey any already greyed wood with Osmo Wood Reviver Power-Gel before applying Osmo Garden Furniture Oil. Wood surface must be clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content max. 20%). Osmo Garden Furniture Oil is ready to use. Do not thin. Stir well before use. Thoroughly clean or lightly sand old microporous stains or completely remove old varnishes before application. Always wear a dust mask while sanding. If possible, please apply the first coat to all sides before installation. If additional protection against blue stain, rot and insect attack is desired, pre-treat the wood, if possible on all sides, with Osmo WR Impregnation. The finished surface is influenced by several factors, including the condition of the wood. Therefore, a trial application is always required, especially for unfamiliar surfaces. METHOD OF APPLICATION With a stiff brush (Osmo Flat Brush) or a lint free cloth, apply thinly and evenly to the clean and dry wood surface. Always work with wood grain. Apply thinly and evenly. Ventilate well while drying. Then apply the second coat – also thinly. NOTE Osmo Garden Furniture Oil is clear; therefore it offers no UV protection (greying). Due to their surface properties, ribbed or rough saw wood surfaces absorb more product. Many wood species contain water-soluble coloured extractives which may leach out naturally when weathered. CARE Regular Cleaning: Damp cleaning with Osmo Decking Cleaner using Osmo Decking Cleaning Brush. Occasional Maintenance: If necessary, intensive cleaning and refreshing using Osmo Wood Reviver Power Gel or Osmo Gard Clean ( for green growth) . Recoating: Simply re-apply one coat onto the clean and dry surface when signs of wear become visible.

Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain is perfect for all exterior woods, including doors, windows & windowsills, carports, timber cladding, balcony, wooden decking, screens & smooth fences, pergolas, summer houses and garden furniture.Base and top coat in one finish. Key Features Fast Drying Natural wood grain remains visible Extremely weather and UV resistant Very water and dirt resistant Resistant against algae, mould, mildew and fungal attack Reduce wood swelling and shrinkage Microporous, breathable finish which does not crack, peel or flake  No sanding necessary for future applications  Application  SURFACE PREPARATION Wood surface must be clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content max. 20%).Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain is ready to use. Do not thin. Stir well before use.If possible, please apply the first coat to all sides before installation.Clean old microporous stains thoroughly. Old paints and lacquers must be completely removed. As a general rule, wear a dust mask during sanding works. The finished surface is influenced by several factors, including the condition of the wood. Therefore, a trial application is always required, especially for unfamiliar surfaces. If additional protection against blue stain, rot and insects is desired, pre-treat the wood if possible on all sides with Osmo WR Base Coat. METHOD OF APPLICATION With Osmo Flat Brush or Osmo Microfibre Roller, apply thinly along the wood grain and spread well.Allow to dry for approx. 4-6 hours under good ventilation. Then apply a second coat. For renovation works, one coat applied to the clean and dry surface is usually sufficient. NOTE Transparent colours are influenced by the natural colour of the wood and therefore they may deviate from the sample colours. Light transparent colour tones offer only limited UV protection; therefore they are not recommended for surfaces exposed to strong sunlight. Dried surface is at first satin-glossy and then satin. To extend the life of the coating, it is recommended to apply one final top coat of Osmo UV Protection Oil Extra 420 Clear after thoroughly drying (not recommended for White 900). Many wood species contain water-soluble coloured extractives which may leach out naturally when weathered. All colour tones can be mixed with each other.Starting from 2.5 litres per colour tone, available in 186 RAL Classic and 1950 NCS colour tones.Transparent finishes allow the substrate to shine through. Depending on the wood species, the appearance of the colour tone may deviate from the original RAL/NCS colour tone.Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain is furnished with biocides and therefore it is only to be used in outdoor areas. The added active ingredients delay or minimise the risk of algae and fungal attack. For effective protection, two coats are to be carried out. In accordance with the latest technical research, permanent protection against algae and fungal attack cannot be provided. Using power washers will severely decrease the coverage of the finish and general or multi-purpose cleaners will increase the frequency of maintenance and recoating. CARE Regular Cleaning: Damp cleaning with Osmo Decking Cleaner using Osmo Decking Cleaning Brush. Occasional Maintenance: If necessary, intensive cleaning and refreshing using Osmo Wood Reviver Power Gel or Osmo Gard Clean. Recoating: Simply re-apply one coat onto the clean and dry surface when signs of wear become visible.

Osmo Polyx Oil Effect- Raw Matt (3044)

    23 in stock

Osmo Polyx-Oil Effect Raw is suitable for the protection and nearly invisible finish of all light-coloured interior woods, such as wooden floors and furniture. Key Features  Nearly invisible appearance, no 'permanent wet effect' Light coloured wood stays light coloured Extremely durable and hardwearing Very water and dirt resistant Resistant to common liquid spillages such as water, juice, tea, cola and wine Saliva-resistant and sweatproof, suitable for children's toys Microporous, breathable finish which does not crack, peel or flake No sanding necessary for spot repairs or future applications Application   SURFACE PREPARATION Wood surface must be clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content max. 18%).Osmo Polyx®-Oil Effect Raw is ready to use. Do not thin. Stir well using a flat stirring stick or spatula before use.Clean old microporous stains thoroughly. Old paints and lacquers must be completely removed. As a general rule, wear a dust mask during sanding works.Fill small cracks, larger joints or holes in wood (with Osmo Wood Filler).Sand wood surfaces carefully. Begin with coarse sandpaper – final sanding work for flooring P120-150, for furniture P180-240. Before oiling the surface, remove sanding dust with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner. Applying Polyx®-Oil Effect Raw over very textured or coarse surfaces could appear more white. The finished surface is influenced by several factors, including the condition of the wood. Therefore, a trial application is always required, especially for unfamiliar surfaces. METHOD OF APPLICATION With Osmo Flat Brush, Floor Brush or Osmo Microfibre Roller, apply thinly along the wood grain and spread well. Applying excess Polyx®-Oil Effect Raw 3044 may lead to a white chalky surface. Remove visible white pigments before allowing the surface to dry. Allow to dry for approx. 24 hours under good ventilation. After drying, quickly apply a second coat also thinly. When renovating or recoating an already oiled surface, one coat applied to the clean and dry surface is usually sufficient. NOTE Polyx®-Oil Effect Raw is slightly white tinted and protects lighter coloured wood species nearly invisibly. On dark, reddish or ‘smoked / fumed’ wood species, Polyx®-Oil Effect Raw is visible as slightly white chalky surface. Applying excess Polyx®-Oil Effect Raw 3044 may also lead to a white chalky surface. Remove visible white pigments before allowing the surface to dry.A trial application is recommended. Applying the product too generously and insufficient ventilation lead to delays in drying time and the typical smell of oil.Any brushstrokes can be removed with an unused dry Microfibre Roller within 30 minutes after applying. For extractive rich hardwoods (e.g. Wenge, Merbau, Jatoba etc.), we recommend using Osmo Wood Wax Finish Clear Extra Thin. A trial application is recommended.Caution: Apply max. one coat thinly to cabinet interiors and drawers with a cloth. Using general or multi-purpose cleaners will increase the frequency of maintenance and recoating. Allow finish to fully cure before heavy usage. CARE Regular Cleaning: Dust mopping using the green Dust-Mop from the Osmo Mop Cleaning Kit for Floors. Damp mopping using diluted Osmo Wash and Care and the Micro-Mop plush from the Osmo Mop Cleaning Kit for Floors. Alternatively use the convenient Osmo Spray-Mop. Occasional Maintenance: If the oiled surface remains light in colour yet there is a reduction in water repellency, refresh the surface with Osmo Maintenance Oil 3079 Clear Matt. Before using Osmo Maintenance Oil 3079, damp clean the surface using diluted Osmo Wash and Care, or alternatively Osmo Spray cleaner and allow to fully dry. For small areas Osmo Maintenance Oil 3079 can be applied thinly with a lint free cloth or white pad. Remove excess product. Allow for good ventilation while drying. A small trial is highly recommended first. Recoating: When slight signs of wear become visible, and providing the surface does not become completely bare, simply re-apply one thin coat onto the clean and dry surface. Avoid applying Polyx®-Oil Effect Raw to bare wood surfaces that have become dirty. Bare, dirty surfaces could appear more rich and dark following the application of the oil finish. A small trial is highly recommended first.
