Morrells induro XL2 Wood Floor Lacquer 5L (includes hardener)

Morrells Induro XL2 is a high-performance two-part waterborne polyurethane floor lacquer designed to provide exceptional durability for wooden floors in demanding environments.

This extremely tough yet flexible lacquer offers outstanding resistance to abrasion, scuffs, spillages and heavy foot traffic. The fast-drying formula provides excellent clarity while maintaining a natural, non-yellowing appearance that enhances the beauty of the timber.

Induro XL2 is suitable for both solid and engineered wood flooring and is ideal for commercial or high traffic environments where maximum durability is required. Once cured, the finish provides excellent chemical and mechanical resistance while maintaining the natural look of the wood.

For best results, Induro XL2 should be applied over Morrells GP Wood Floor Sealer to enhance the natural warmth of the timber and promote strong adhesion. When working with tropical hardwoods or oily timbers, Morrells Isosil shellac-based sealer should be used instead.

Recommended System

For optimal performance the following system is recommended:

• 1 coat Morrells GP Wood Floor Sealer (or Isosil for oily/tropical woods)
• 2–3 coats Morrells Induro XL2 for domestic environments
• 3–4 coats Morrells Induro XL2 for commercial or high traffic environments

Induro XL2 is a two-component system and must be mixed with the appropriate catalyst before application.

Application Guidance

Ensure the floor has been properly sanded and is clean, dry and free from sanding dust before application.

Mix the lacquer with catalyst at a ratio of 9 parts lacquer to 1 part catalyst by volume. Shake thoroughly and allow the mixture to stand for approximately 5 minutes before use.

Apply using a suitable floor roller, mohair pad or T-bar applicator, working evenly along the grain of the timber. Avoid pooling and maintain a consistent film thickness across the surface.

Lightly denib between coats using a fine abrasive such as 150–180 grit mesh, vacuuming thoroughly before applying the next coat.
