Primatech T Flooring Nails are 16-gauge T-headed flooring cleats for fixing tongue-and-groove wood flooring with a compatible flooring nailer. Available in 38mm and 50mm lengths, each box contains approximately 1,000 nails.
The serrated shank helps grip the timber substrate, while the T-shaped head seats against the tongue during secret nailing. Supplied in collated strips for loading into a compatible nailer.

Which Flooring Nailers Do These Fit?
Primatech lists both lengths for the following T-cleat flooring nailers:
- Primatech 250AT: adjustable-base pneumatic T flooring nailer.
- Primatech 250FT: fixed-base pneumatic T flooring nailer.
- Primatech 245FT PRO: fixed-base pneumatic T flooring nailer.
- Primatech 330T: manual T flooring nailer.

Porta-Nailer Compatibility
Supplier compatibility information for the 38mm Primatech C094 also lists Porta-Nailer models 401, 402, 421 and 501. This is supplier-listed compatibility, rather than a cross-brand approval published by Primatech. Check your machine's instructions for the accepted T-cleat profile and nail length before use, particularly when selecting the 50mm variant.
Important: these are T-cleats, not L-cleats, staples or straight finishing brads. A 16-gauge rating alone does not confirm compatibility. Some flooring nailers are available in different configurations, so check the exact model and magazine.
Choosing the Correct Length
Primatech lists this cleat range for 12–26mm tongue-and-groove flooring. The correct nail length depends on board thickness, tongue position, substrate and nailer setup. This does not mean both lengths suit every board thickness.
Follow the flooring manufacturer's fixing specification and nailer instructions for length, spacing and penetration. Engineered flooring must be specifically approved for nail-down installation.
Application Notes
- Use with a suitable timber substrate and an approved nail-down flooring system.
- Check for concealed pipes, cables and other services before fixing.
- Test the nailer setup on an offcut to check seating depth and avoid damaging the tongue or board face.
- Wear suitable eye protection and follow the nailer's safety instructions.
