The older Bona Standard Edger has been sold under several different names,
including the Bona Standard 220, Standard 2.2, Edge XL and Viking. Although
the machine name may differ, these models form part of the same Standard
Edge family.
O-rings can become flattened, hardened, split or damaged through age, heat and exposure to fine sanding dust. Replacing a worn seal helps maintain a secure dust tube connection and reduces dust escaping around the joint.

When Should the O-Ring Be Replaced?
- The existing O-ring is split, cracked or visibly damaged.
- The rubber has become hard, brittle or permanently flattened.
- Fine dust is escaping around the dust tube connection.
- The dust tube feels loose or no longer seals securely.
- The seal is missing during servicing or reassembly.
Fitting Guidance
- Disconnect the edging machine completely from the power supply.
- Remove the worn O-ring without damaging the dust tube or sealing groove.
- Clean away accumulated dust and contamination from the sealing area.
- Check the dust tube and groove for damage before fitting the new seal.
- Fit the replacement O-ring evenly without twisting or overstretching it.
- Reassemble the connection and check that the dust tube fits securely.
Important: This O-ring is intended for the older Bona Standard Edge family, including machines also known as the Standard 220, Standard 2.2, Edge XL and Viking. It is not intended for the newer Bona Edge UX, Mini Edge or Combi Edge machines.
