Bona Adhesive Trowels are professional notched trowels designed to achieve the correct adhesive spread rate when installing timber flooring with Bona adhesives. Available in a range of notch sizes, each trowel is suited to different flooring types, board sizes and adhesive requirements to help ensure maximum bond strength and full adhesive transfer.

Choosing the Correct Trowel
- Parquet & Herringbone: Usually 850G.
- Standard Engineered Flooring: 850G.
- Wide Engineered Boards: 1000G.
- Large Solid Timber: 1250G.
- Very Wide Planks: 1500G.
- Primers & DPMs: 500F where specified by Bona.
Professional Tip: The correct trowel size is just as important as choosing the right adhesive. Too little adhesive can reduce bond strength, while too much increases costs and curing times. For most engineered flooring and parquet installations, the 850G is the most commonly used Bona trowel, with wider boards typically benefiting from the 1000G.
