The Bona Power Drive is a genuine geared drive plate fitted with four independently rotating 150mm sanding pads. Designed for compatible Bona FlexiSand machines, it provides powerful, direction-free rotary sanding for stripping timber floors back to bare wood and producing a smooth, consistent finish.

Unlike a conventional belt or drum sander, the Power Drive can be operated across the floor without following the direction of the timber grain. Its four geared sanding heads provide effective material removal while helping minimise the risk of drum marks, chatter and uneven sanding.

The four sanding heads work close to walls, leaving only a narrow perimeter for the edging sander and reducing the time required for edge sanding. Its compact, manoeuvrable design is particularly useful in smaller rooms, confined areas and across parquet or patterned floors where the timber runs in multiple directions.

This is the original Bona Power Drive system with four replaceable yellow hook-and-loop sanding pads. It is different from the newer Bona Power Drive Connect, which uses separate click-on sanding and brushing heads.

Compatible 150mm Abrasives

The Power Drive accepts four compatible 150mm hook-and-loop sanding discs. Abrasive type and grit should be selected according to the floor condition, timber species and stage of sanding.

Bona 8300 Blue Zirconium Sanding Discs – 150mm Long-lasting zirconium abrasives for fast and consistent professional timber-floor sanding.

Original Power Drive Compatibility

This product is the original Bona Power Drive, fitted with four yellow replacement sanding pads and an internal gear ring.

The replacement pad set with Bona part number ASO319934 is compatible with this Power Drive, the Bona Quattro Disc and the Bona MultiDisc.

These pads are not compatible with the newer Bona Power Drive Connect. The Power Drive Connect uses a different click-on sanding-disc and brush assembly.

Always disconnect the FlexiSand from the power supply before fitting, removing or servicing the Power Drive. Check that the internal gear ring, locking mechanism and all four sanding pads are secure before operation.
