Bona Microfibre Applicator Pad is a soft, non-abrasive reusable pad designed specifically for the smooth and even application of Bona floor maintenance products.
It is the recommended pad for applying Bona Wood Floor Polish and Bona Wood Floor Refresher, helping distribute the product consistently across the floor while reducing streaks, heavy deposits and patchy application.
Unlike a standard cleaning pad, the Applicator Pad should ideally be kept solely for polish and refresher application. This helps prevent trapped dirt or old cleaning residue from contaminating a freshly prepared floor.

Wiltshire Wood Recommendation
Keep a dedicated Bona Applicator Pad purely for applying polish and refresher products. Do not use the same pad for everyday cleaning, as trapped dirt, grit or cleaner residue may affect the appearance of the freshly applied maintenance coating.
Before applying any maintenance product, clean the floor thoroughly using a separate Bona Microfibre Cleaning Pad and allow the surface to dry completely.
How to Use
- Vacuum or dry clean the floor thoroughly to remove loose dust and grit.
- Clean the floor using the appropriate Bona cleaner and a separate Bona Microfibre Cleaning Pad.
- Allow the floor to dry completely before applying the maintenance product.
- Attach the Bona Applicator Pad securely to the Bona mop head using the hook-and-loop fastening.
- Apply Bona Wood Floor Polish or Bona Wood Floor Refresher in accordance with the product instructions.
- Spread the product smoothly and evenly across the floor using controlled, overlapping passes.
- Avoid repeatedly working areas that have already begun to dry, as this can affect the final appearance.
- Allow the maintenance coating to dry fully before allowing foot traffic, following the instructions for the selected product.
- Wash the Applicator Pad thoroughly after use.

Prepare the Floor First
Polish and refresher products should only be applied to a thoroughly clean, dry floor. Any dirt, grease, cleaner residue or loose debris left on the surface may become trapped beneath the new maintenance layer.
Where the existing finish is heavily damaged, deeply scratched, peeling or worn through to bare timber, a maintenance polish or refresher may not be suitable and the floor may require professional sanding and refinishing instead.
