Bona R200 Hollow Spot Repair Resin is a professional single-component polyurethane repair resin designed to eliminate hollow spots and securely re-bond loose parquet, engineered and solid wood flooring without lifting the floor.
Injected beneath previously bonded flooring, Bona R200 expands to form a light foam which creates a new bond between the timber flooring and the subfloor, making it an ideal solution for localised flooring repairs.
Why Choose Bona R200?
- Repairs hollow or drummy sounding floors
- Re-bonds loose parquet blocks and boards
- Expands to fill hidden voids beneath the flooring
- Single-component polyurethane formula
- Free from solvents and water
- Excellent adhesion to most subfloors
- Easy syringe application
- Ideal for localised repairs without lifting the floor
Typical Applications
Bona R200 is suitable for repairing:
- Loose parquet blocks
- Loose engineered flooring
- Hollow sounding wood flooring
- Localised adhesive failure
- Minor movement in previously bonded floors
Recommended Equipment:
Bona recommends injecting the resin using a
suitable flooring repair syringe
.
A 4mm drill hole provides the correct access for the syringe and usually
removes the need for additional vent holes.

- Mastic asphalt
Application
- Locate the hollow sounding area by tapping the floor.
- Mark the repair location and protect the surrounding surface with masking tape.
- Drill a 4mm hole through the flooring where required.
- Fill a suitable repair syringe with Bona R200 and inject the resin beneath the flooring slowly and evenly.
- If necessary, repeat the process until the void has been filled.
- Weight the repaired area for approximately 2–4 hours whilst the resin cures.
- Once cured, fill the drill hole using a suitable wood floor repair product or repair wax.
Important: Bona R200 is intended for localised repairs only. If hollow spots are widespread, the underlying cause—such as poor adhesive transfer, subfloor preparation, contamination or moisture—should be identified and rectified before carrying out further repairs.
