Morrells One-Part Coloured Wood Filler 250ml is a ready-to-use, water-based filler developed for repairing pin holes, nail holes and other small imperfections in interior timber.
Available in a wide range of popular wood colours, it offers good adhesion, minimal shrinkage and excellent sanding properties. The smooth consistency is easy to apply by knife or scraper and can be finished once fully hardened and sanded.

Preparation
- Ensure the timber is clean, dry and free from dust or contamination.
- Remove loose material from the repair before filling.
- Select the closest suitable colour before application.
- Test the colour on an inconspicuous area where possible.
Application
- Apply the filler directly to the timber using a filling knife or scraper.
- Leave the filler slightly proud of the surface to allow for minor shrinkage while drying.
- Do not attempt to fill deep holes in one heavy application.
- Build deeper repairs gradually in separate applications, allowing each layer to dry fully.
- Leave overnight for thorough hardening.
- Sand away excess filler using 180–240 grit water-lubricated abrasive.
- Remove all sanding residue before applying the chosen finishing system.
Compatible Finishes
Once fully hardened and sanded clean, the repaired surface can be prepared for a suitable interior wood finishing system. Always test the chosen stain, oil, lacquer or varnish over the repair first, as filler may absorb colour differently from natural timber.
Important: This one-part filler is intended for small internal repairs only. It should not be used for rebuilding damaged corners, edges or larger structural defects. For those repairs, use a suitable two-part wood filler instead.
