F. Ball Stopgap Barrier Foam is a self-adhesive foam strip designed to prevent smoothing and levelling compounds from flowing into unwanted areas during subfloor preparation.
It provides a quick and convenient alternative to pinned timber battens and is particularly useful around doorways, room openings, perimeter details and other areas where the levelling compound needs to be contained.
Each box contains 25 individual 1 metre lengths, providing a total of 25 linear metres. Each foam strip measures 15mm x 15mm.

How to Use Stopgap Barrier Foam
1. Prepare the Surface
Make sure the surface is clean, sound and free from dust, loose material, oil or other contamination that could prevent the self-adhesive backing from bonding correctly.
2. Measure and Cut
Measure the area where the levelling compound needs to stop and cut the foam strip to the required length.
3. Remove the Backing
Peel away the protective backing from the self-adhesive side of the foam.
4. Position the Foam
Press the strip firmly into position, making sure there are no gaps where smoothing compound could escape.
5. Apply the Levelling Compound
Once the foam is securely fixed, mix and apply the selected smoothing compound in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
6. Remove or Trim as Required
After the smoothing compound has set, remove or trim the barrier foam where required for the next stage of the installation.
